Ella Degerstedt signs on to continue with Åland United through 2026!

Åland United is pleased to announce that Ella Degerstedt has extended her contract and will continue with the club for the 2026 season. Ella joined Åland United ahead of the 2024 season and has established herself as an important part of the team’s defensive line. She will now be heading into her third season with us.

Head Coach Daniel Norrmén emphasizes the importance of this extension:

“It’s very pleasing that Ella has signed for 2026, and it’s a step towards the continuity we need in order to build long-term within Åland United. Ella has taken steps forward this season and developed as a central defender, both in her play with the ball, but above all in duels and box defending. I look forward to working with her again next season.”

Ella herself is happy to continue:

“It feels inspiring and great to already extend my contract with Åland United. Both myself and the team have developed a lot, and I look forward to another year together.
