Åland United sign Swedish player Linnea Strömberg

Åland United are pleased to announce the signing of Swedish player Linnea Strömberg. The 23-year-old attacking talent joins from Eskilstuna United and will strengthen the squad for the continuation of the Nationella Ligan season.

Strömberg is a versatile player who can be used both as a winger and in midfield. She was developed in Sweden, where she has represented Göteborgs DFF, Jitex Mölndal BK, IK Rössö Uddevalla, Lidköpings FK and most recently Eskilstuna United. Between the ages of 14 and 19, she regularly took part in various Swedish national team camps.

“This turned out to be a very good solution for us at the end of the transfer window, as we managed to secure Linnea,” says head coach Daniel Norrmén. “We have been following her for some time, already looking at her last winter, and she will bring further competition to the squad, which is valuable as we now enter an intense and exciting phase of the season.”
