Åland United strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026 season by bringing in Swedish midfielder Viktoria Veber on loan from IFK Norrköping.
The 2005-born player joins on a loan deal and arrives in Åland with valuable experience from the Damallsvenskan and youth international football, despite her young age.
“The loan of Viktoria Veber to Åland United is a very positive step for all parties involved. The Finnish top division is of a high standard and will provide Viktoria with a demanding everyday environment, featuring competitive matches and international experience. At the same time, we see this as a first step towards a long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation with Åland United, where we can create more strong development environments for our players in the future,” says Dennis Popperyd, sporting director of IFK Norrköping.
“With the loan of Viktoria, we are also initiating a cooperation with IFK Norrköping, which I see as something that will be highly beneficial for Åland United going forward. Viktoria is an exciting central midfielder who brings experience from 30 matches in the Damallsvenskan, as well as eight appearances for Sweden’s U18 and U19 national teams. With her strong technique in tight spaces and excellent game awareness, she can be used as a number 6, 8 or 10. At present, we see her primarily as an offensive central player, and it will be very exciting to follow her development in our environment,” says Pierre Persson, sporting director of Åland United.
“I am very grateful and truly excited about the loan move and the upcoming season. I have already got a very good impression of the club – it feels like a close-knit environment with great supporters. The loan feels like an exciting adventure, and I am really looking forward to the opportunity to develop here, get to know everyone and contribute in the best way I can,” says Viktoria Veber.
With the addition of Viktoria Veber, Åland United strengthen their attacking central midfield ahead of the upcoming season and continue to invest in a balance between development and competitiveness.
Welcome to Åland, Viktoria!
