Åland United Continue to Invest in Youth – Cilia Nyvall Signs

Åland United are pleased to announce that Cilia Nyvall, soon to turn 16, has signed a four-year contract with the club.

Cilia joins from IFK Mariehamn, where she has shown great potential and progressed through selections to regional national team camps for girls born in 2010 and later.

She now gets the opportunity to continue her development in an elite environment on home soil.

“Cilia trained a lot with us last season and also took part in training for three weeks in December, where she really stood out. She is an exciting player with great development potential, and we are convinced that she will already make her mark during this season. We are very pleased to have signed a long-term contract with Cilia, which gives her the security to develop at her own pace. However, we would not be surprised if she makes her debut in the Kansallinen Liiga already this year,” says sporting director Pierre Persson.

“I am very happy and proud to have signed a contract with Åland United. It feels like a great environment for me to develop, both on and off the pitch. I’m really looking forward to the start of the new season and the opportunity to develop even more,” says Cilia Nyvall.
