Åland United is pleased to announce that assistant coach and goalkeeping coach Ville-Petteri Laiho has extended his contract with the club for another year.
Laiho joined Åland United ahead of the 2025 season from Musan Salama and has quickly become an important part of the coaching staff. With his experience and commitment he has made a strong contribution to the team’s development – especially among the goalkeepers.
“My goal was to extend my stay on the island and I am extremely happy that the club felt the same way. I am very excited to get a full pre-season with the team and very confident about my ability to have a positive impact with all the players who feel that Åland United is the best option for them,” says Laiho.
Head coach Daniel Norrmén is also pleased with the extension:
“It’s great news that Ville has signed a new contract, as the coaching staff plays a key role in creating more continuity within Åland United. The cooperation between me and Ville has worked very well this year, and now we have the opportunity to develop it even further together.”
By extending Ville-Petteri Laiho’s contract, Åland United continues to build stability and continuity within the coaching team ahead of the upcoming season.
