Senja Salo is out for the rest of the season

Our popular defender Senja Salo suffered a serious knee injury in the match against PK-35 on Saturday and will be out for the rest of the season.

Senja, who is also one of the captains, joined Åland United from FC Honka in 2023. After last year's season that ended with a bronze medal, she was also an important player in Åland United's defence in the current season.

Her recovery is now a top priority. We are confident that with the same determination she shows on the pitch, she will overcome this challenge and come back stronger than ever before.

Åland United wishes Senja a quick and total recovery and we look forward to seeing her on the pitch again!
