Saana Tuomala Extends with Åland United for 2026

Saana Tuomala will continue with Åland United. The Finnish midfielder has extended her contract and will wear the Åland United jersey throughout the 2026 season. Since joining the club, Saana has quickly become an important part of the team, contributing with her physical presence in duels, game intelligence, and strong work rate.

With Saana’s extension, we gain continuity as well as a very good footballer and a strong personality within the squad. She is a really good player with two excellent feet, great technique, and strong game intelligence. Going forward, we see Saana primarily as an offensive, attacking midfielder, where we believe she can make a difference and contribute to the team’s success.” says sport director Pierre Persson.
