With both joy and sadness in our hearts, we announce that our talented forward Olivia Ulenius is leaving Åland United. Olivia will continue her football career at Djurgården in the Damallsvenskan, taking the next step in her development.
Born and raised in Mariehamn, Olivia began her football journey with IFK Mariehamn before making her debut for Åland United at the young age of 13 in 2020. Since then, she has grown into a key player and an essential part of our team.
With numerous impressive goals and unforgettable moments, Olivia has earned a special place in the hearts of our fans. We will never forget her decisive goal in the 2022 cup final, which secured victory for Åland United, or her recognition as the player of the match in that final. Her performances also led to her being voted Player of the Month in the Kansallinen Liiga by her peers in August 2024. In addition, Olivia was honored with Åland Football Association’s "Golden Ball" award in November 2024, celebrating her contributions to both Åland United and Finland’s youth national teams.
On the international stage, Olivia has represented Finland in several youth national teams, showcasing her hard work, passion, and impressive professionalism throughout her journey.
We are incredibly proud of everything Olivia has achieved with us and look forward to following her continued career. Olivia will always be part of the Åland United family, and we wish her all the best at Djurgården and beyond!
