Minttu Takanen continues with Åland United!

Åland United is happy to announce that Minttu Takanen has extended her contract with the club for another two years. The 20-year-old midfielder, who joined Åland United ahead of the 2024 season, will continue to wear the Åland United shirt in the coming seasons.

Here’s what Sporting Director Pierre Persson says about Minttu’s contract extension:

Minttu has taken big steps during this season and shown strong development since joining ahead of 2024. She had an excellent pre-season and start to the year, then went through a small dip, but came back very strong in the autumn and started 12 out of 24 matches in the National League. For us, it was an easy decision to extend Minttu’s contract. With such a strong finish to the season, we’re really looking forward to seeing what the coming seasons will bring for her.
