Our tough schedule with three away games in a row made the short summer break very welcome. The squad is now gathered on Åland except for Gabi Rennie who is preparing for the Olympics in France.
The focus this week has been on getting the squad back together, and fine-tuning the tactical details, we want to implement at the HPS match. Pille Radik has helped us this week as an assistant coach, and it has been fantastic to have her at ÅU’s trainings again.
HPS, third at Kansallinen Liiga, will visit our island for an incredibly important match. In the last five matches, HPS has won three, lost one and played one draw. While we have two wins, two losses and one draw. We think that HPS will want to both press high and aim control the ball a lot, and play a tough game.
However, one thing is certain. Neither team will get points easily.
Welcome to WHA on July 20th at 17.00 to cheer us on to victory!
Heja Åland!
