On Wednesday evening, an exciting and important match awaits at WHA – the quarterfinal of the Finnish Cup against PK-35 Vantaa. After three straight league wins, Åland United heads into the cup clash with confidence but also with full focus on the task ahead. It’s all about delivering when it counts – a place in the semifinals is on the line.
Head coach Daniel Norrmén is looking forward to the challenge:
“Now it’s time for our second match of the week, and a very interesting one, as we play the quarterfinal of the cup against PK-35 Vantaa. The days since Sunday’s match have been all about recovery, to make sure the players are ready to go again – and when the referee blows the whistle, we will be exactly that. We expect a tough match, and it will take a strong performance to reach the semifinals, which is of course our goal. After three straight league victories, we absolutely believe in what we’re doing, and playing a cup match with everything that comes with it is always great fun.”
Kick-off at WHA on Wednesday is at 18:00. See you there – Heja Åland!
