Before the game against KuPS

Today we face KuPS away. Åland United has collected important points during the week and the team travels to Kuopio with a clear goal: to keep building on the positives and put pressure on the top of the table.

Head coach Daniel Norrmén is looking forward to the challenge:

– Now it’s time for the last match of three in a week, and it’s about squeezing out the last energy we have in our legs. But since we have managed to rotate the squad well during the week, the feeling is that we still have plenty to give as we now face KuPS away.

He also underlines the importance of the game in the league standings:

– KuPS have been playing well for quite some time, and we know it will be a tough task. But we see it as a chance to close in on KuPS in the fight for silver, while at the same time creating a bigger gap to HPS in the battle for bronze. So we approach this match by focusing on the opportunities and playing it as a chasing team with everything to win.
