Before the game against KuPS

Tomorrow, Åland United play their first home match of the Championship Series as KuPS visit Wiklöf Holding Arena. The visitors from Kuopio currently sit two points ahead of Åland United in second place in the table – though with one game more played – which makes tomorrow’s clash a true top encounter.

Head coach Daniel Norrmén is looking forward to the challenge:

"The match against KuPS will be extremely interesting and fun to play. Every game from now on is important, and the most important one at the moment is our next – the one against KuPS. We can expect a tough match against a KuPS side that has had some very good results lately. But since we ourselves are in a very good period right now, we can take on this challenge full of confidence. In the previous matches against KuPS, it has been very small margins that have decided the outcome, and it will probably be just as tight this time. That’s why it is very important that we deliver our performance and stay focused on the key moments in the match that will prove decisive."

In other words, this is set to be a match where every situation can make the difference. Åland United head into the game in strong form and will do everything possible to continue climbing the table. To succeed, the team will once again need the same energy, focus, and collective effort shown in recent matches – as well as the ability to capitalize on the chances that arise.
