Away game against JyPK – the start of an intense period

Today, Åland United plays away against JyPK – the first of two consecutive matches against the team from Jyväskylä, as we will face them both in the league and in the cup in the coming days. It’s the beginning of a tough period with three matches in a short time, where performance and recovery will be key.

Head coach Daniel Norrmén says ahead of the match:

"We are now entering an intense period with three tight matches, two of which are away against JyPK since we’re playing them both in the league and in the cup. So, the coming days will be very much about matches and recovery.We’re heading to Jyväskylä with good confidence after the explosion in our last cup match, where we finally got our goal scoring going – something that hasn’t quite clicked before. Showing the same determination in the box against JyPK, I believe, is the single most important key to succeeding in the match. We also need our pressing game to work against a JyPK side that is good at building up play."
