Anna Nurmi extends her contract with Åland United

Åland United is pleased to announce that Anna Nurmi has extended her contract with the club for another year. The experienced defender will continue with Åland United for the 2026 season and remain an important part of the team moving forward.

The contract extension also pleases Sporting Director Pierre Persson, who highlights Anna’s performances during the season and her importance to the team:

Anna had a strong autumn before her injury, and we are happy that we were able to reach an agreement for her to continue with us through 2026. She has done well as a full-back but also played as a centre-back towards the end of the season, showing that she handles that position very well too. One of Anna’s great strengths is her versatility, and we look forward with confidence to what she can bring to the team in the 2026 season.

I have good feelings to continue playing with Åland United. My season unfortunately ended up a bit early with an injury and my goal is to get back in business during the winter. The club offers good opportunities to develop as a player, and I believe I still have a lot to offer for the team. We also have good chance to improve from last season. Heja Åland! says Anna Nurmi.
