American striker ready for Åland United

Åland United sign striker!

Åland United strengthen their attacking line with American player Jenny Vetter. The 26-year-old striker has signed for the club and will join the team ahead of the 2026 season.

Vetter is a versatile attacking player who has been recruited as a striker. She most recently played for American side Spokane Zephyr in the USL Super League. During the 2023–24 season, Vetter represented Portuguese club Racing Power FC, competing in the top division and gaining valuable international experience. Prior to that, she enjoyed a highly successful college career at Minnesota State University, where she was one of the team’s most prolific goal scorers.

With her pace, game intelligence and finishing ability, Jenny Vetter is expected to add new offensive qualities to Åland United.

Sporting Director Pierre Persson sees her as an important addition to the squad:

“We have been looking for a number nine for some time who can add cutting edge and increase competition within the team. Jenny has proven that she can deliver and score goals at a high level — in Portugal she scored 14 goals in 29 appearances across the league and cup. Jenny is a striker with speed and proven goal-scoring ability, but she also works extremely hard in the pressing game. We are really looking forward to welcoming Jenny to Åland.”

Jenny Vetter herself is excited about the move:
