Alessa Nordblom signs for Åland United

Åland United are pleased to announce that 16-year-old Alessa Nordblom has signed a two-year contract with the club.

Alessa comes from IFK Mariehamn, where she has taken significant steps in her development as a goalkeeper. She will now have the opportunity to continue her development in an elite environment on home soil.

“It is, of course, especially pleasing that we are able to offer Alessa a contract and give our Åland players the opportunity to develop in an elite environment. Alessa trained regularly with us last season and has taken big steps in her development through both training with Åland United and training combined with match play at IFK Mariehamn,” says Sporting Director Pierre Persson.

“I am happy and grateful to have signed a contract with Åland United. I am really looking forward to the season with the team! Åland United has a fantastic environment, and I feel that I will develop a lot here,”says Alessa Nordblom.
