Before the game against VIFK

The Championship Series is about to kick off, and for Åland United the first challenge will be an away game against VIFK in Vaasa. Head coach Daniel Norrmén is looking forward to the challenge but also stresses the importance of recovery:

"Shortly after the cup semifinal we now have another important match as the Championship Series begins for us up in Vaasa. Naturally, the past few days have been much about recovery, and we have prepared in the best possible way to be ready for the next challenge. It is only two weeks since we last made the same trip, when we managed to put in a strong performance and return home with all three points, and of course that is our goal once again. But we know it will be tough against a VIFK side that will surely be looking for revenge after the last meeting, and if we are to win again we know it will require a strong performance where we make use of our strengths and find the spaces that allow us to create scoring chances."

Kick-off is at 16:00 at Lemonsoft Stadion in Vaasa. The match will be streamed live on Ruutu+.
